NY CREATES Facilities and COVID-19

The team at NY CREATES continues to monitor the situation with guidance from health experts at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as our local health departments and other state agencies. Please note that, per guidance from New York State and US Federal government officials, as well as the SUNY Research Foundation, all employees of and visitors to NY CREATES must follow the same rules and instructions with respect to these COVID-19-related issues.

UPDATED: August 5, 2021

With the urging of the CDC, State and local leaders, starting today, August 5, 2021, we are proactively updating our face covering protocols to require all NY CREATES/RF 011 staff and visitors to wear a face covering at all times while indoors on the complex, regardless of vaccination status.  The exceptions to this requirement include: when an employee is in their office, at their cubical/desk when no other employees are within 6 feet, when alone in a private space, or when seated and actively eating and drinking.
We continue our focus on diligently implementing protocols that we believe will maximize the health of the entire community.  While the inherent risk of exposure of COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present, wearing facial coverings is a proven way to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We also encourage you to continue frequent hand washing, avoid touching your face, and practice social distancing where possible.

We strongly encourage people to get vaccinated if you have not done so already.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
