Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators
Experiential Learning Opportunities from Classroom to Career
At NY CREATES, we are dedicated to preparing the next generation of innovators through experiential learning opportunities. Our workforce development programs cater to students of all ages, from K-12 to undergraduate levels. These initiatives include engaging field trips to our cutting-edge facilities, hands-on K-12 STEM activities, immersive undergraduate internships, and intensive boot camps designed to bridge education and industry. By connecting students with real-world experiences in advanced technologies, we empower them to explore, learn, and build skills for future success in the tech-driven economy.
UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS
Learning by Experience through Advanced Research in Nanotechnology (LEARN)
The LEARN program provides students with hands-on training and practical experience in advanced silicon wafer fabrication, which prepares them for careers in the semiconductor industry.
K-12 PROGRAMS
NY CREATES’ programs have been organized each year to excite the imagination of local K-12 students through organized tours of state-of-the-art fab and characterization facilities at the Albany NanoTech Complex, and in hands-on activities designed to increase familiarity with nanoscale science and technology concepts, including IC fabrication. Want to bring your K-12 class here to show them an exciting future? Contact Capri O’Hara for more information.
TECH VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Tech Valley High School (TVHS) is located at NY CREATES’ Albany Nanotech Complex. TVHS offers the chance for its students to earn college credits for successful completion of nano-related courses and engage in the high-tech ecosystem.
