NY CREATES is a world-leading R&D, innovation hub and commercialization facilitator in advanced digital, analog and power technologies.

NY CREATES aims to further accelerate the growth of high-value, high-technology companies, by attracting entrepreneurs to New York State, and supporting them through ideation, incubation and investment phases. NY CREATES continues the long-standing push to provide an invigorating environment for high technology industries – which in the past twenty-plus years has seen the establishment of IBM Research’s CMOS technology development facility, Tokyo Electron Ltd’s Technology Center America at Albany, Applied Materials META Center, GlobalFoundries’ flagship fab at Malta, NY, Danfoss’s power electronics packaging facility at Marcy, NY, and Wolfspeed’s announcement it is expanding in NY, among others.

Since its inception, Capital Investment at the Albany NanoTech Campus has exceeded more than $15,000,000,000. The current operating budget for NY CREATES is approximately $300,000,000/year and growing.

MISSION

NY CREATES will serve as a resource for public-private and academic partnerships within New York State to create and lead industry connected innovation and commercialization projects that attract investment and create growth in high technology jobs.

Additionally, NY CREATES facilitates global partnerships and research efforts that propel forward industries engaged in nanoelectronics, advanced analog and digital technologies.
