In 2025, employment in physical, engineering, and biological research reached a record high of 7,761 jobs, underscoring the region’s position as one of New York State’s fastest-growing innovation hubs.

- SCREEN’s new Advanced Technology Center of America (ATCA) at our Albany NanoTech Complex
- IBM’s formation of Anderon, advancing the nation’s first pure-play quantum foundry at our Albany NanoTech Complex
- Continued IBM–Lam Research collaboration on next-generation semiconductor processes and materials to support sub-1nm logic scaling
- And a renewed partnership was announced last April between TEL and IBM on advanced wafer processing
