NY CREATES has built time-tested connections and capabilities with ecosystem partners in academia, industry and government. Hence it powers a broader portion of the commercialization continuum and is unique when compared with other innovation programs. NY CREATES believes that enabling and contributing to connections within emerging technology ecosystems is a key role as well as a core competency – and has a growing reputation for building valued relationships.

NY CREATES supports entrepreneurship programs, government funded accelerators, and incubators. It has organized events such as the Corporate Venture Exchange that uniquely matches corporate investment groups with curated early-stage companies growing in a variety of advanced technology spaces, from computing to nano-biology. NY CREATES is actively engaged in technology development programs, particularly at its Albany and Rochester locations, through strategic efforts in integrated photonics, neuromorphic computing, quantum technologies, power electronics, and nano-biological devices. These R&D efforts are partnerships with a broad cross-section of entities – from federal agencies to start-up companies. NY CREATES also proactively participates in a number of industry trade organizations, as part of its contribution to nurturing new technologies to outcomes that benefit all of society.
