NY CREATES featured in Times Union: “Two years after CHIPS law signed, New York poised to grow semiconductor sector”

“Last month, the U.S. Commerce Department, which oversees CHIPS Act programs and funding, announced that the NSTC would award funding for three different programs. One would be dedicated to chip prototyping and “packaging” which is related to how chips are prepared to be installed into devices. NY CREATES, the nonprofit that operates Albany NanoTech has a packaging research facility in Rochester. Albany NanoTech also does chip prototyping. Another program would include an NSTC chip design center and administrative headquarters. And a third would include an extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography center.”
